The Core sits between the entry-level Classic and the complete Super Sleep System. It provides twice the field strength of the Classic but does not require the upfront investment of purchasing both layers of the Super.

Unlike the Classic, the Core does not become obsolete if you later decide you want a stronger system. You can keep your existing Core and place the matching Booster above it beneath the mattress.

How the Core Sleep Pad Works

The Core contains hundreds of permanent ceramic alloy magnets laminated between layers of foam. The magnets are arranged to create one unified field across the sleeping area. The system is designed to produce a field measuring 10 gauss at the top surface of an 8-inch mattress. This is twice the field measurement of the Classic under the same conditions.

Each individual magnet has a core rating of 3,950 gauss. However, the most relevant measurement when comparing Magnetico models is the field produced at mattress level, not the strength measured directly at the center of an individual magnet.

The Core is positioned beneath the mattress rather than directly beneath a sheet or mattress topper. Your mattress provides the required distance between your body and the sleep pad.

Core Sleep Pad Mattress Compatibility

The Core can be used with most common mattress materials and bed configurations, including:

• Traditional coil and spring mattresses

The material inside your mattress does not prevent the system from being used. The more important consideration is the distance between your body and the pad.

Mattress thickness requirements

Your mattress or other spacer must provide at least four inches of separation between your body and the Core Sleep Pad. The advertised 10-gauss field is measured at the surface of an 8-inch mattress. The field reaching the sleeping surface will vary according to the distance between the pad and your body.

We recommend the Core for mattresses between approximately 8 and 14 inches thick. For mattresses more than 14 inches thick, consider the complete Super Sleep System. Contact the Magnetico team before ordering if you have an unusually thick, layered or non-standard mattress setup.

Slatted and adjustable bed frames

The Core can be used with a slatted frame, but the pad should not sag or bend between widely spaced slats. Add a firm supporting layer such as thick cardboard, thin plywood or a bunkie board where necessary. The Core can also be used with an adjustable bed. Check the pad periodically to make sure it has not shifted, folded or become compressed as the bed moves.

How to Install the Core Sleep Pad

1. Prepare the bed base: Remove your mattress and check that the box spring, platform or bed frame provides an even supporting surface.
2. Add support where required: If your frame has widely spaced slats, add a firm layer to prevent the Core from sagging between them.

1. Position the Core beneath the mattress: Place the Core on top of the box spring or bed frame. It should not be placed on top of the mattress.
2. Follow the product labels: Position the sections with the labelled side facing upwards, following the supplied installation instructions.
3. Align multiple sections: Double, Queen, King and California King models are supplied in sections. Position them together so they cover the intended sleeping area.
4. Cover the shared sleeping area: When two people use the bed, select a pad that matches the bed size rather than placing a smaller pad beneath only one sleeper.
5. Replace the mattress carefully: Core sections are heavy. Depending on the size, individual sections weigh approximately 68 to 99 pounds, so assistance is strongly recommended.
6. Never fold the pad: Follow the supplied rolling instructions when moving or storing it. Folding the pad may damage its construction.

How to Upgrade the Core with a Booster Pad

The Booster is designed as the second stage of the Super Sleep System.

To upgrade:

1. Select a Booster that matches the size of your Core.
2. Remove your mattress.
3. Position the Booster above the existing Core according to the supplied instructions.
4. Check that both layers are aligned and lie flat.
5. Replace the mattress carefully.

Once installed, the two layers operate together as the complete Super Sleep System, producing a field measuring 20 gauss at the surface of an 8-inch mattress. You do not need to replace or dispose of your Core. The original pad becomes the foundation of the upgraded system.
